Bengaluru as we know is situated on the Deccan Plateau, in the south-eastern part of Karnataka. It is also the capital Karnataka. It is India’s 3rd most populous city & a centre for India’s high-tech industry. It has a significant number of international schools. A number of expats across the globe choose Bengaluru owing to the growth in presence of Multi-National Companies. It is the ‘Silicon Valley of India’ because of its position as the nation’s leading IT exporter. It is a growing metropolis & one of the most sought out cosmopolitan cities in India. It is home to some of the most well-recognised colleges and research institutions in India.
Situated at 949 meters (3113 ft.) above the sea level, Bangalore has a salubrious savannah type dry tropical climate throughout the year. Weathers could be described as frequent rains, cold winters & warmer summers. The climate is pleasant throughout the year. It is also nicknamed as “Garden City” & was also known as “Pensioner’s Paradise” for quite a while. The city has a lot of greenery with N number of gardens and parks and streets lined with trees. It is very soothing in what would have been a jungle of concrete which is even why Bengaluru can be considered to be one of the coolest cities of India metaphorically.

By Road: It is well connected to cities like Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Coimbatore and Mangalore through various local bus networks providing a range of regular buses to air-conditioned, sleeper coaches & Volvo. While some of the buses are run by Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation, a number of private bus operators run inter-city buses to and from Bangalore.
By Rail: Yeswantpur Junction & Bengaluru City Railway Station are the two important railway stations having regular trains running from Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and other major cities. There is this Namma Metro an intra-city rail network with limited connectivity set up by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation.
By Air: Bengaluru International Airport has regular flights from Delhi, Mumbai and most other important cities in India along with international carriers. It is located about 40 kilometres from the main city.
