a) The 1st year is common to all students; this helps them get a better overview of the various subjects in media & increases their exposure.

b) 2nd year onwards, students can make a choice on their area of specialization from any of the 4 subjects.

c) The 3rd year will comprise of Group Projects, Individual projects, Demo Reel development & Internship opportunities.

We watch film & TV, daily so it should not be hard to imagine that all that we see has been created by a team of people, with titles like Script writer, Director, Actor, Cinematographer, Editor Etc. With time everything has become digital, including the Cameras that are used to shoot. Earlier there was no alternative to shooting on FILM reels, but with computers & cameras learning to speak the digital language, Film is getting used lesser & lesser as all of you with digital cameras know well.

The Grammar of shooting a film is the same, only the tools have become modern. Specialization in Digital Film Making will teach you all the things needed to make a film, Ad or documentary-but with Digital Technology.

Animation is well known to many, but making animation films is a totally different game. Most people learn a 3d or 2d software and usually learn to model, create a title animation , particle effects or character animation. But most don't know how to make a short film, or an ad or an animated documentary. The reason being they have learnt the software but they haven't learnt the subject of film making. Also making films is most importantly is about telling a STORY.

Shooting a film with a camera is hugely different to creating animation, one is shot in the physical spaces & the other is made on a computer. But what is common is the language of films applies to both Live Action & Animation. In this program the student will be taught film making with the animation medium to express his creativity. Passion is the key to learn animation, but with animation it is also about technology.

Imagine you are watching a film, or playing a game or listening to a radio without sound. Well there won't be any point if you can't hear the music, or the sound track or the voise. Well Sound engineering & Design is where most of these aspects get covered.

Sound is a powerful film technique for many reasons. To begin, sound engages a distinct sense which can lead to a "synchronization of senses"-- making a single rhythm or expressive quality unifies both image and sound. The rhythm, melody, harmony and instrumentation of the music can strongly affect the viewer's emotional reactions.

Sound also plays a very important role in Mass Communication as it can lead the viewer not only to see but also to believe in the visual content.

Specialized program in TV Journalism is designed in such a way that students who are media aspirants, desirous of making career in journalism for TV and Radio, can learn the required skills while doing their graduation in Bachelor's program of their choice ie. BA in Journalism and Mass Communication.

So no more need to do advanced program again after the graduation. You will be doing the specialization split into the three year program.
