Diploma in Game Art

Introduction

Indian gaming industry has really come of age, having genesis in late 90s, when companies like Dhruva Interactive, Ubisoft, EA Sports, Knowledge Adventure, Bash Gaming and India games started developing and publishing games. Today India has more than 250 gaming companies, Big, small and start-ups aiming to develop the next-gen games. The industry today is around Rs 6000+ crore in size as per Nasscom with at least two companies coming up every month and growing at around 30 per cent every year.

We provide the training from the industry experts rather than normal teaching standards and our tie ups with companies like Shoonya game technologies, Driya interactive, Rolocule Games and couple of other game companies to give seminar and workshops on a monthly basis. The Diploma in Game Art Program is designed to develop game art skills(Game asset, Modelling& texturing environments, props, vehicles, characters) to create Next-Gen games. You will alsolearn how to manage the game engine constraints throughout the production pipeline and create an interactive game that displays your game art.You can also get a chance to work with Toolbox Studio and have hands of experience on live projects. Game art studetns also have the advantage to work with Game progaming students to work on an acutal game.

 

Objectives:

  • Provide students practical exposure of the Game Art industry.
  • Student will confidently create art works for multi-platform games using Maya and Unity 3D
  • Make students ready for the game art industry
  • Workshop from industry professional
  • Understand the process of Digital Art
  • Attend national gaming event like NGDC (National game development conference)

Perquisite:

  • Having passion for creating games (both digital and non-digital)
  • Students must be avid gamers and have atleast played any of the following games: Counterstrike, DOTA, Call of Duty, Need for Speed, Assasins Creed, FIFA, etc.

Eligibility : 12 th passed from any stream
