Placement Updates for the Month of October 2023

We conducted Workshops for Journalism students at ADYPU (with industry panelists, focusing on the topic "Importance of Research in Journalism." That's a great initiative! Workshops like these can provide students with valuable insights into the practical aspects of journalism and help them understand the significance of research in their field.

Workshop was carried out covering the below mentioned pointers with students Audience: 

1)Understanding the Role of Research:

• Emphasize was given that research is a fundamental aspect of journalism, contributing to the credibility and depth of news stories.
• Explained how research helps journalists gather accurate information, verify facts, and provide a comprehensive understanding of a subject.

2) Fact-Checking and Accuracy:

• Discussed the critical role research plays in fact-checking to ensure the accuracy of news stories.
• Shared examples of cases where thorough research prevented the spread of misinformation.

3)Building a Strong Narrative:

• Explained how research helps journalists build a compelling narrative by providing context, background information, and multiple perspectives.
• Illustrated   how in-depth research can turn a news piece into a well-rounded and informative story.

4) Adapting to New Technologies:

• Highlighted how technology has changed the landscape of journalism and how research skills are crucial in navigating and utilizing digital resources.

Discussed the importance of staying updated on emerging technologies in the field. Encouraged students to reflect on how they can integrate research into their journalism practices.
