The Diploma in Filmmaking program serves as a foundational step towards a rewarding and fulfilling career in the film industry. This course is for aspiring candidates who wish to work as Directors, Assistant Directors, DOPs, Assistant cameraman, editors in the growing film industry.
You do not need a specific educational background. Basic requirement is 12th pass or equivalent from any Stream. You just need a keen interest and an appreciation for everything that goes into filmmaking.
The program is a one year long Diploma program. The final 2 -3 months focus on working on projects.
The curriculum includes all aspects of the film making process – Writing, Direction, Editing and Cinematography. Understanding visual storytelling, fiction production, non-fiction production, film business are some of the modules covered in this program.
Any DSLR or Mirrorless Camera with basic kit lenses and a Laptop (8Gb RAM, 2Gb graphic card and 512Gb/1Tb HDD) for editing.
At SEAMEDU, we believe in the concept of ‘learning by doing’. Our students shoot films on regular basis with professional equipment. The curriculum is designed with focus on projects & assignments that students have to do. SEAMEDU provides internship assistance to all students fitting the eligibility criteria.
After completing the filmmaking diploma course students can pursue a career in the fast growing Film Industry. They can work as Directors, Assistant Directors, DOPs, Assistant cameraman, editors. They can also become independent content creators or work in the advertising industry.
Filmmaking diploma course is a complete program covering all aspects of Filmmaking. It does not offer any specialization.
We have cameras, lights and editing systems for students to use and work on. We also have a Chroma studio for students to work on studio based assignments, Projects and their practice purposes.
All the students will be assessed based on their assignments and projects. The evaluation will be determined by the quality of assignments & projects submitted and the role played by the student in the same. There will be a VIVA at the end of the diploma in cinematography.
Yes, students from all backgrounds can apply for a diploma in filmmaking program. A Film related background is not needed.
